Parent communication for coaching institutes
CoachOS gives parents one place to check attendance, the latest test result, upcoming fees and announcements. The weekly digest uses the records your team already maintains, helping the front desk and faculty share a consistent update.
A browser-based parent portal for coaching institutes, with one card per child and no app installation required.

Parent communication, step by step
- 01
Invite the guardian
Your institute links the guardian to the student's record and sends an invitation. Parents access the portal through their phone browser. A family with more than one enrolled child can see each linked child in the same place.
- 02
Keep academic and fee records current
Faculty mark attendance and publish academic updates in their workspace. Test results and fee records come from their respective workflows. The parent view brings those records together rather than asking staff to prepare another report.
- 03
Give parents a weekly view
The digest shows attendance, the latest test score and its change from the previous attempt, fees due in the next seven days and announcements. Parents can check the update when it suits them.
Portal updates and messages that work together
Attendance with context
Parents can review attendance alongside the rest of the week. Attendance alerts use guardian preferences and opt-outs, while the institute can review queued, processed and failed communication counts.
Results beyond a single score
The parent digest carries the latest test result and its change from the previous attempt. Students have their own view of test analysis, including section-wise results, so families and learners can follow progress from the same system.
Fee visibility alongside academics
Upcoming dues sit beside attendance and results. Parents can see fee information without a separate update from the front desk, and institute staff continue working from the fee ledger.
WhatsApp through your approved sender
Connect your Gupshup account and approved templates for messages such as fee reminders, attendance alerts and exam notices. Sender approval, template requirements and provider charges apply separately from the CoachOS subscription.
See the same update from both sides
Bring examples of the questions parents ask each week and the notices your institute sends. We will review guardian links, staff responsibilities and provider setup. Use sample records for the demo; your institute controls what it publishes and to whom.
- Open an invited guardian's portal in a phone-sized browser view.
- Follow an attendance entry from the faculty workspace to the parent view.
- Review results, fees and announcements for two sample children.
- Discuss message templates, permissions and guardian preferences.
Questions about parent communication
Do parents need to install a mobile app?
No. The CoachOS parent portal works in a phone browser. Guardians use the invitation from your institute to access the records linked to their children.
Can parents see more than one child?
Yes. Multi-child families see a card for each linked child, bringing attendance, results, upcoming fees and announcements into one parent workspace.
Does the parent portal require a WhatsApp account?
The browser portal is a separate way to view updates. Sending WhatsApp messages requires the institute's approved Gupshup account and message templates, which we help configure during onboarding.
